Primer choke for eliminating FCR accelerator pump

FCR carbs run just as good and save gas without accelerator pumps. With the Keihin FCRs the pump can cause momentary flooding when shifting through the gears if not adjusted to a leaner setting.   With Aftermarket FCRs you may lose some instant throttle response without the accelerator pump when suddenly jumping to full throttle. You can replace the accelerator pump with a “primer choke” similar to the Amal tickler (but no gas leaks).   Simply push it down about three times the first time you start it and you’re good.  You’re carbs are provided with the original accelerator pump linkage and you can always reinstall them if you want to go back.  Add this to your purchase of JS FCR carbs to get the primer pump upgrade installed on your carbs.
